I'm hoping to be in the market for a 03-04 Cobra this summer. I'd like to get a (mostly) unmolested coupe with less than 50,000 miles, preferably in black or red. How much do you think I should expect to spend? I'm hoping to find one in the low 20s. (I'd REALLY like a 'vert, but I think that would be way out of the price range.) Am I realistic? Posted by: TorchRedSVT Hey bud, well as being someone who just went through with this I can tell you that you are not that far out of line. Let me give you some real world #'s to work with. I paid 28k for my car, it had 4600 miles on it when i bought it ...its a 10th aniv. and a convertible so i think i got a pretty good deal considering it stickered for 39,995 two years ago. You can find verts, but with lower miles expect to pay in the uper 20's for one with lower miles 26-28...for the mileage you are talking about. You just have to be willing to travel cars.com, auto trader.com, svt performance.com and modular fords.com are all places to look. they are definitly out there but you just have to take your time cuase unfortunatley there are some who have been driven hard. If i was you, STAY AWAY from pullied cobra's ( trouble in the long run, especially if you are buying a higher mileage Cobra) and dealerships...they rape people trying to buy these cars becuase of the limited availibility. Here is a very nice one on svt: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...d.php?t=355234 26k, 25k miles in great shape, black 10aniv. vert..its just far away another beautiful car: http://www.svtperformance.com/forums...d.php?t=389506 If you are serious about buying one in the future..or the near future start looking now this way you will be able to act quickly and have a good idea of whats around you when you are ready to buy. I could talk for hours about this subject, the 2003/2004 SVT cobra is an awesome car..it took me 6 months to find the right one...as i stated they are out there..you just have to take your time be patient and be ready to move quick when you find the one you want Posted by: langod Oh my god, Ian. Why did you point me to SVTperformance? I can't stop looking at yummy cobras. I'm gonna get fired now -- that site is more addicting than porn. Problem is I gotta sell my GT first -- so I'll be Stang-less for a while, which will really suck. I want THIS ONE. Look familiar? Posted by: badass98svt Quote:
LOL, that place is my home away from home. Posted by: TorchRedSVT Jim I trolled that site for MONTHS scowering that Terminator section...they are out there man. If you time things right, you can sell your car and just jump on a cobra ASAP. I sold my car back in Feb, with in a week i bought mine. It took me a little time to sell it you won't have that issue cuase now is the time to sell a mustang..plus you have a red one so it will be a bit easier for you. I say put it up for sale now!!!!!! my advice to you...is JUST DO IT, i cant tell you how much better the SVT's are over the regular GT's..its a total different animal. and by the way, you got really good tastes in cobra's...I know you arent in a position to buy but that is a killer deal...someone is gonna jump all over that!!! There are only 369 total 10th Aniv. convertibles made..having three with in an ear shot of each other would be awesome Ford Mustang Archive Home | General Tech | 5.0 Mustang Tech | 4.6 Mustang Tech | 3.8 Mustang Tech | 2.3 Mustang Tech | Classic Mustang Tech | Appearance and Sound | Virtual Body Shop | Initiation | The Lounge | The Showroom | Site Suggestions | Mustang Talk | 2005 Ford Mustang | Ford Lightning | Racers Bench | For Sale | Wanted To Buy | Northeast | SouthEast | Central | MidWest | West Coast | NEBOC
