You can't special order a GT with a cobra engine. It's not an option from Ford at all. Ford didn't even offer a 4V in the 2002 model line-up so putting one in a special order GT would be illegal because the engine was not certified for the Mustang that year.

If it had a 4V, then he either swapped it or someone else put it in after the car was bought

he said he ordered it....but i made him pop the hood and that thing was soo beautiful...lol.....

check the guys interior for cobra badges, the steering wheel will usually say cobra on it, if so then he just bought a cobra and probably put gt badges on it

already did....lol...it was a gt....it was also an auto...oh btw...what kinda exhaust should i get? i really like the way stock gt's sound but i want it louder....what would you recommend?

I'll have 2 Flowmasters coming off my car pretty soon...

Depends if you want " classic muscle car" or "modern V8" sound. Flowmasters or other chambered mufflers (especially when paired with a bigger h-pipe) give you that classic muscle car rumble. Straight-through "bullet" style mufflers like Magnaflow Magnapacks give you a raspier Nascar kind of sound -- especially when paired with an x-pipe.

If you like the stock sound, but just want it louder, I would recommend Flowmaster 40 series.
