stripes are on!

Okay, picture whore warning!
The stripes are on, only took about 1 1/2 hours once he got started, much of that time spent on the computer laying out the design.
I went in at 8:30 am ready to have them put on, but once he saw what I had in mind, we had to stop.
He needed his 24" vinyl, and he didn't have enough on hand to do the job.
Fortunately, he had already reordered, and more was due in the afternoon.
So I went back at 1pm, and by 2:30 it was done.
I'm very, very happy. :nod:
After looking at it I'm thinking about black rocker panel stripes.
He said he can scan any image in, so the running pony will probably be my choice.
.......unless I go off the deep end and get the Seahawks logo in the stripe. :laugh:
Anyhow, here are the pictures as promised.

Yes, hood only.
Main reason is I have a blackout gascap delete piece on the back, and stripes from front to back wouldn't look right.
If I didn't have that piece, then I probably would have gone with a different design, not so wide.

I don't know.
I respect your opinion, but...
I've been told Windveil Blue is a terrible color.
I've been told black stripes would look horrible on Windveil Blue.
I've been told wide stripes shouldn't even be considered.
The same with hood only stripes, it's been suggested that I was crazy for thinking of it.
Here is what makes me think that side stripes with these hood stripes might be okay:

The ones in the pic you posted are way to tall and too high up on the side of the car.

Maybe so.
I was only looking at how the black on the side ties in with the black on the hood.
As far as placement and actual style of stripe, I'm still looking at a pony cutout on a black stripe, on the rocker panel.

Ultimately yes.
But I do value everyone's opinion, whether it agrees with mine or not.
I do note that your original negative vote was based on size and placement, but then you just changed to a no.
Just don't like side stripes?
What about c-pillar stripes?
Not too fond of those, but curious as to how you feel.
And thanks for responding, everyone's comments good or bad have helped me make my decisions.

And to answer your other question, I in general, don't care for the rocker stripes. The ones you showed in the photo were particularly bad.

Some have suggested the boss stripe....I'm not sure, going to think on that awhile.....definitely wouldn't want it to say "boss"

I don't care for that either.
You don't want to go overboard. It's all about subtlety.
The stripes look perfect, I'd leave it at that.

I agree with Badass -- with the big stripes on the hood, I think side stripes would be over done.

I was right it makes it look Cheap with side stripes. Its bad enough Ford puts those side stripes on the V6 so that everyone notices you have a base car.

I think sidestripes, if done right, would look pretty good. It'll tie the look all together.

Your hood stripes look awesome! They remind me a little of the hood on the late 69-70 Mach 1's. They were one solid flat black section on the hood almost as if you had a 48" stripe put down. With the Shaker hood scoop it looked pretty mean. I'm very impressed with the quality! I wish I could see it in person because from the picture you'd almost think those were painted onto the Stang. I'm usually anti-vinyl on graphics on paint but from your photos it looks damn good
