what kind of noises will your stang make with a spun bearing..........my problem is my car runs fine and doesnt leak or smoke isnt burning oil and doesnt seem to have lost any power, but when i start off and get around 2500 rpms i hear a knock in the engine and then when i change gears and give it some gas it does it but when i put the car in neutral and rev the engine it doesnt do it........it only seems to do it when there is a load on the engine.......i want to have it ready for mustang week at the beach but i kinda would like to know how much this is gonna cost me.........i really dont feel like its terminal but maybe it is.......hope not

It doesnt sound like a spun bearing to me. A spun bearing will usually give you a sudden loss of oil pressure because the oil hole in the bearing no longer lines up with the oil passage in the block. Could it just be spark knock? Whats your timing set at?

how modified is this car? is it tuned or using a stock eec-iv? sounds like its leaning out under load at low rpms, if you have a local tuner thats a matter of maybe 45m to 1hr to work out..

That sounds like a rod bearing.

well the engine dropped oil pressure...i shut it off real quick but the damage is done........but the good news is that i have the car inthe shop at this time getting a new gt40 crate engine with ported and polished gt40x heads..e303 cam,bbk longtubes, march underdrives,100amp alternator, cobra upper and lower intake with 65mm bbk throttle body, bbk o/r xpipe, kurban fuel pressure regulator, mac cold air tube, 30# injectors with maf, ram air kit with k&n filter, and griffin 3 core radiator with black magic fan..............also installing a world class t5 with king cobra clutch......also adding a compucar 125 wet nitrous kit........................should be sweet......some of the stuff going on the new engine will be off my old engine....the headers and radiator, ram air kit and nitrous........

new one is in and running strong.....also new transmission and king cobra clutch.....all of my new setup only has 2500 miles on them.....it feels good to be inthe stang again.....instead of driving that stinking chevy s10 truck

Are you saying you bought everything used with 2500 miles?

Nice job though. I'm glad everything came out good in the end.
