SN95 Mirrors on a 2005+ Ford Mustang!

I'm liking the SN95 mirrors on the 2005+ Mustangs a little more than the stock 2005+ Mustang mirrors. What do you all think?

painted mirrors =

That looks nice. They flow well.
At the same time, i'm with Mike. Painted mirrors are a no-no. They are nicer when they are a stealthy black, it's less noticeable.

I agree. The ONLY painted mirrors I like are the 03/04 Cobra painted mirrors and the '05+ mirrors where just the top "cap" is painted and not the entire mirror.

When i see a Fox or Sn95 with the entire mirror painted, it reminds me of a Macco paint job where they painted the trim of the car along with the rest of the car

I've always liked painted mirrors, but you do have a good point their.

I do like those mirrors better than the 2005+ mirrors... I think the factory mirrors are a little to large.

Same here , wish Ford could have designed a smaller mirror that folds also(Like my SVT Focus had) instead of these big "bus" mirrors

Better yet -- cameras.
WIth prices today, how difficult or expensive would it be to put a small rear-facing CCTV cam in the door pillar along with a 3-4" screen on the inside front of each door? That would smooth out the look, but not require drivers to learn a new set of viewing reactions. (Like having a console mounted screen would.)

I'll bet with the volume that Ford would be buying, they could add it as an option for $100-200.

To do it right with a clean install it could add up. But you're right the prices on cameras have gone way down. My uncle bought a wireless camera and 3inch screen from Walmart for CHEAP (I wanna say $100 or something). All you need is a power source and the camera transmits to the screen wirelessly. It's great for hooking up trailers to his super duty.

The funny thing is if you're driving by someone's house that is on the same freqency you get a quick little show.

Except if the cameras ever fail, you would be blind.

I almost got nailed by some lady on the highway on the phone merging into my lane (she actually snapped into my lane forcing me into the small median strip in the center) because she didn't check her blind spot.

You get people depending on cameras, they start paying attention even less and less attention to the world outside their little Lexus boxes.

I actually like it, i think it looks good. Definitly a good change over the crappy after thought mirrors ford put on there.

To Langod's point, i think ford has a lot of room for upgrading the mustang and it's options. Things like heated seats, reverse camera's HUD's are standard items on many cars......the mustang definitly has some catching up to do in terms of feature comforts.

But then again, I love mine becuase it's an un-refined muscle car with big ass motor and not much else fluff....to each thier own.
