The Lincoln concept features independent rear suspension and a 415-hp twin-turbo V6 running on E85 ethanol. MKR is the first expression of future Lincoln design, featuring high beltlines, strong C-pillars and double-wing grilles. Posted by: Rick Sample Don't know about you guys, but I'm not a fan of this at all! Posted by: Jarhead46 I read about this in Car and Driver, and I love it. Maybe I'll trade in my hot rod Lincoln for this one
Posted by: ExBamaGal Ewww! Looks like a space ship...inside AND out! Posted by: KartRacer39 Beam Me Up Scotty Posted by: speedytang They better stop wasting money on concepts or they will no longer be a car company by 2010. Such a waste of revenue. Posted by: bullitt5177 Concepts are a major part of a car company. They spark interest. Remember how much praise the 04 Mustang concept got? This one just sucks. Posted by: speedytang Staying in business is JOB 1 not making cars to show a bunch of writers about what we could build. Posted by: Aussie XAXB That exterior picture does not do the car justice. I saw the article in Car and Driver too. The car looks awesome, and I am not a luxury car guy. Check these pictures out. Steve ![]() ![]() ![]()
Posted by: langod I like it. Lincoln is really making an effort to move away from the stodgy-old-person styling. Caddy has been making some nice looking cars for several years now that appeal to a younger set, it's about time Lincoln plays catch up. Posted by: Aussie XAXB I was at the employee "Showroom of the Future" to see coming models. I had to sign a confidentiality agreement so there is a lot I can't say. What I can say is that the grill treatment you see there is coming on Lincolns real soon. Also you will see that treatment on several models, but what is inserted in the opening will denote if it is a luxury car or a luxury sport. They look really sharp. Those pics don't look to bad at all... perhaps it was just the color and the angle of the car in the pic I posted. Posted by: Aussie XAXB I think it was the angle. Usually that low angle like that is really dramatic, but with the body lines of this car it makes it look weird, like it is carved out funky. Normally we never see that angle because we stand by the car instead of crouch. That's what usually makes that angle look so cool, we rarely ever see it. Geessshh...someone tell me to shut up. Steve Posted by: Rick Sample lol we don't mind... the more information the better
