Advice Needed!!!!!

Ok I am hopefully going to be able to do some appreance modifications as well as some performance ones this spring. I already have a pretty good idea what I want for performance, but as for appearance I am completley clueless. I just am not happy with the custom grille that the previous owner made himself. I feel it give my car a cheap look to the front. Also I am having some paint problems with the front bumper. I don't know if this is because of flex, or just crap paint, or both. So any, and all advice would be GREATLY appreciated!!!!! Some options are to do the Mach 1 Delete, a custom insert for the bumper and repaint the bumper, replace front bumper, or anything else all you expects can suggest!!! Please help!

you can view picts of my car in the garage.

Definitely get rid of the grill. I'm not liking that look at all and you'll really like the grill delete. Do you still have the strips down the side of the doors? If so, ditch those also. It'll give a much cleaner look. As for the bumper, I'm having the same problem with mine so no suggestions there other than to repaint it.

Yeah that cheap ass custom job the previous owner just isn't cool. Yes the bumper gaurds on the door are to come off too, thanks for the reminder!! It's funny how I forget some things when I don't see my car for months!!

If I do the Delete, then should I get WMS to do a custome insert on the bottom? I think that may give it an 'unbalanced' look, but I just dont see how else to mount my fog lights, unless I just take them off????

I would definitely go with the Mach1 Grille delete kit.... it'll make the car look so much better. As for the front bumper... I would either repaint it or replace it with the Saleen bumper. I personally think the Saleen bumper with your hood would look great!

Pull the gay grill out, and get a Mach 1 delete kit. Pull those rally lights out, and junk em. Remove the rear spoiler, and throw on some deep dish rims w/ 315's.

Well what I know for sure is that the Grille Mesh thingy has got to go. The bumper gaurds on the doors will go. I will definately keep the hood, and like BIGJ said take those fog lights out, and once those and the mesh is gone the bumper may look more appealing. so I will make a final decision on the bumper after. I guess the best thing to do would be the Mach 1 Delete. I am also trying to decide about lowering the car. The problem is some of our roads here in Alberta are pretty 'western' and although may look better, it may turn out to be more of a pain in the ass. As for the window tinting, I would like to get them redone. Damn cops had me remove the tint on the side windows once already! That is where I am at the moment. Any more advice is welcomed. I really wish this snow would hurry up and get the hell outta here so I can get at my car!!! (Here in Alberta we probably have 3 more months of winter, so I probably have plenty of time to think about my options).

That sounds pretty good

I was just going to ask if you are going to start soon... but I guess that answers my question lol.

Have you thought about adding stuff like the Saleen side scoops? Little stuff like that will really make a difference. That would probably be one of my first modifications if I had a 1999+

Mach 1 delete, remove the side shopping cart gaurds. Maybe try removing the wing for a day and see if you like it.

No lower grill trim. The mesh thing is kinda fading away. It doesn't really match anytghing else on the car. Keeping the front end as dark as possible will keep the eye focused on the wheels instead of being distracted but the bright silver grill. If you don't want to look through the lower grill and see rad support, maybe paint the mesh a FLAT black color.

Ditch the fog lights. It makes the front end too busy. Round lights don't flow well on a car with chiseled razor lines on it.

Hood is fine, wheels are fine. I personally don't like the front bumper but it can be made to work.

13" front Bullitt brakes in the front wheels. I consider these an appearance mod as you will see them through the rims and they look damn good because they are huge. If you want, go for crossdrilled rotors with zinc coating. Paint the dust shields flat black so you won't see them, paint the rear calipers red to match the fronts.

Tint

If you decide to delete the upper and lower mesh... I would also delete the hood insert mesh.
