Just read that Carroll Shelby just sold his personal Cobra at the auction for $5,000,000. 800 horsepower Cobra. Twin supercharger

Watched it sell on TV today. Barret Jackson auction. Was the most expensive car in the auctions history.

The thing that sucks most is after spending all that money on it the car probably wont be used the way it was inteded to be or even driven

Pretty sure they're talking about an AC Cobra, not a Mustang....but I didn't watch the auction, so I may be mistaken.

Either way, Barret Jackson is old rich men's way of playing the "my penis is bigger that your's " war, only instead of ever driving the sweet machines & kicking some ace on the road, they show their power by paying ridiculous amounts of money.

My only solace is that the cars brining the most money in those auctions are good ol' American muscle.

It actually sold for $5,500,000. 1966 Shelby Cobra 427 Super Snake twin super charged, one of two real ones that ever were and will be built and the only one remaining because the other one was wrecked. Not only that but it was Carrol Shelby's personal car.

Before the auction started Carrol said he got pulled over in Nevada in it going 195mph. He acted like it was no big deal too!
