Woman has surgery at the Cleveland Clinic... 2 years later dies! *Unbelivable*

I heard on the radio this morning that a lady died. After investigation, they found a towl on the inside of her. After further investigaion it turns out that when she had surgery 2 years ago at the Cleveland Clinic, the surgions forgot to take the towls out and just stiched her up! The family is only sueing for $2 million. I believe they could easily get a lot more!

Did the towels cause her death? Or did she die in a car crash or something unrelated?

They were saying the towls caused her death... which is why they're asking for 2 million. They were discussing on the radio how they could get a lot more from that case.

According to an article in the Plain Dealer she died in 2002, 7 years after her surgery and long after she was expected to die. She had some kind of lung problem and according to the surgeon's lawyer or another doctor the towel (27"x18") actually helped her to breathe better. I don't know the Medicine behind that but that is his claim. It will be interesting to see this story progress.

On the radio, where I do get a lot of news, they only have time to give the gist of the story and a couple key points, then they move on. You have to read the paper to get the rest of the info.
