Ever won a price at any car show?

Well, a friend of mine spent 8,000 pounds (approximately 16,000 US dollars) at building up his car for the car show at summer.
He changed everything, from the rims to the bumpers (or whatever they call them. I forgot the name in english right now), the hood and the audio.
At the end there was a super cool car, ready for the show.

We got there and got some nice marks, but at the audio show, the car couldnt start.
He putted all those lights and Woofers that the car's battery couldnt support the car.

That was embarrassing, to sit in the car and everybody waits to see the show but the bloody car didnt started.

At the end we came 4th and we were all disappointed.

Now I think about it and I laugh..lol

Anyway, did you ever went to such a show?

I never won any pize, but I have won 9 trophies at local car shows. I bought my car for about $6,300 about 6 years ago and I've invested about $13,000 in modifications to my car. So I've spent almost $20,000!

Car show's around here are tough.If it's not a classic you really have to have something that really stand's out.
